1. What This Is

Own the Wonders (the "Site") is an entertainment and promotion platform operated by [COMPANY NAME] ("we"). The Site publishes pages about the world's monuments and sells promotional slots on them: the paying user's ("Advertiser") name, logo, link and description are shown on the monument's page as the "current holder". That "ownership" is the presentation of the slot and is a symbolic entry in a public register and nothing more. It confers no legal right, title, interest, affiliation or authority over any listed monument. We have no relationship with the owners, custodians, managers or public authorities of the listed monuments and do not act on their behalf.

2. Acceptance

By using the Site or claiming an entry you accept these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Sales and Refund Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Site. You must be at least 18 years old to claim an entry.

3. How The Slot Works

Each monument has exactly one "current holder", i.e. one featured promotional slot. To take the slot you place a bid of at least US$1 above the current amount and complete payment. Once payment is confirmed, your name, logo, link and description are shown publicly on the monument's page and on the home page, and clicks on your link are counted. When another user takes over with a higher bid, your entry ends and remains in the register as a past holder.

Ownership is indefinite but not guaranteed. We make no promise that you will hold an entry for any length of time. No refund is made when you are taken over; see the Sales and Refund Terms.

4. Advertising Content

The name, link, description and the logo fetched from your link ("Content") constitute an advertisement and are displayed publicly. You confirm that the Content is yours or that you have the right to use it; that it complies with applicable advertising and consumer law; and that it is not unlawful, misleading, defamatory, hateful or infringing, does not promote adult content, gambling, crypto-assets, weapons or regulated products, and does not link to malware or fraud. You alone are responsible for the lawfulness of your Content and agree to indemnify us against claims arising from it. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display the Content on the Site and in its promotion.

We may remove, hide or edit Content that breaches these rules without refund. Content cannot be edited after an entry is created; you may claim a new entry with new Content.

5. Prohibited Use

You may not use automated tools to inflate visit counts, abuse the payment system, create entries in someone else's name without permission, impersonate others, or interfere with the Site's operation.

6. Intellectual Property

The illustrations, texts, design and software on the Site are ours or licensed to us. Monument names are used to identify the monuments; we claim no rights in them.

7. Limitation Of Liability

The Site is provided "as is". We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by mandatory law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the Site, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant entry. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

8. Changes And Termination

We may update these Terms; the current version is published on the Site. We may terminate access for users who breach them.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY]; the courts of [CITY] have jurisdiction. Consumers retain the right to bring claims before the courts and dispute bodies of their place of residence.
